Drone Speed Record: Fly to 100M height in 3,8 Seconds

This drone is one sick puppy!

The first attempt to get a mention in the Guinness Book of Records failed due to too high temperature on the lipo batteries. The drone did not exceed 20 meters and crashed on it’s landing. Within two days it was repaired and a new attempt could be made.

It managed to reach 100 meters in 3.871 seconds. The maximum speed with this attempt was 189km/h at a maximum drive power of 2300W according to the maker. Brunner makes the comparison with a DJI Phantom 3 which does about 4 meters per second, while his drone did it with a maximum of 52,5m/s. Phantom 3 would, according to him, do about 25 seconds to reach 100 meters.
