Ever run into the pickle of hiding the system domain on VMware identity Manager and not being able to log in locally anymore? Were you searching the manual for a solution to log into the system domain? Went nuts and redeployed? Stop now! Read below for an undocumented beauty!
To log into directly to the system domain use the following URL:
https://your.vIDM/SAAS/Auth/login?login
This will direct you to the system domain even when you have used the hide option in VMware identity Manager.
This doesn’t work. It takes me to the domain selection where system domain is not an option.
Got it to work finally. Important note, you have to type in “?login” after you are redirected to the domain select page. You can’t bookmark it or type the whole string in a new tab.
The revised comment also didn’t work for me.
What worked for me was using this URL
https:///SAAS/login/0
Got this from the folling kb article : https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article/322681/inventory-sync-of-vmware-identity-manage.html
I see there are some characters lost in the url i provided on posting the comment.. I think it’s obvious what’s missing, but I can’t correct it anymore now.
